H-beam Price Decreases by 3,000 Yen/t, Tokyo

H-beam market price decreased to 118,000-117,000 yen per tonne by 2,000-3,000 yen from last week around Tokyo, which decreased by 5,000 yen in the just past two weeks. The price decreased by 10,000 yen compared with peak price in September when actual demand hovers at a low level and users hold back the buying. Some dealers sell at below 115,000 yen per tonne.

Equal angle market price decreased to 112,000-113,000 yen per tonne by 7,000 yen in the just past two weeks and channel price decreased to 117,000-118,000 yen by 7,000 yen. Both market price decreased by 10,000 yen from September. Some dealers are selling equal angle at around 100,000 yen per tonne.

Shaped steel market prices are expected to more decrease when ferrous scrap purchase price by electric furnace makers decreased by around 60,000 yen per tonne from peak price and Tokyo Steel Manufacturing reduced the selling price by 35,000 yen in November order. Users are avoiding the buying due to the anticipation of a fall.

Highest price products are being delivered to dealers from makers. Some dealers keep the selling price at 120000 yen per tonne for H-beam, and 150,000 yen for equal angle due to the securement of margin while other dealers trades at around 110,000 yen for H-beam. H-beam is flowed from Nagoya area at 110,000 yen to Tokyo.
