Japan Ferrous Scrap Export Rises in November

Japanese ferrous scrap export increased by 32.1% to 349,000 tonnes in November from October, which is the first increase in 2 months, according to Japan Ferrous Raw Materials Association. The export decreased by 50.5% to 49,000 tonnes for South Korea. However, the export increased by 68.9% to 272,000 tonnes for China when Chinese buyers started to expand the scrap purchase from Japan due to the relative low price since late October. The export to Taiwan increased to 8,000 tonnes from zero in October.
