China Steel Increases Steel Sheet and Plate Price to Japan

China Steel, Taiwanese biggest steel maker, increased selling price by 14,000 yen per tonne for plate, 15,000 yen for hot-rolled steel sheet, 16,000 yen for pickled steel sheet, 15,000 yen for cold-rolled steel sheet and 13,000 yen for zinc coated steel sheet including freight for the shipping in August-October to Japan. The firm will pass higher iron ore, coal and fuel price on selling price. The firm reduces export volume by 15-20% for hot-rolled steel sheet, about 10% for pickled steel sheet, cold-rolled steel sheet and hot dipped zinc coated steel sheet for the shipping in August-October from May-July to Japan when the shipping is increasing to Domestic market and no.1 blast furnace had an accident. Plate export volume is kept flat.
