Ahrestry to Expand Offshore Operation for Next Growth

Tokyo based die-cast maker, Ahresty tries to expand the offshore operation especially in China and USA while the firm launches new operation in India. The firm starts the supply from Indian plant to Suzuki Motor as early as autumn. Ahresty expects the Guangzhou plant could get order from Shizuoka based auto-parts maker, JATCO, which starts new plant operation in Guangzhou in fiscal 2009. Ahresty also got order for the North American plant from Toyota Motor for fiscal 2009. Ahresty tries to seek growth in international market when the domestic demand peaks. The firm expects the new Indian plant, which has 3 die-casting machines, could get order from Suzuki and other makers. The Guangzhou plant, which operates 13 die-casting machines, expands the processing capacity by adding 2 die-casting machines in fiscal 2008 and 6 die-casting machines in fiscal 2009. Ahresty tries to shift a part of the North American production for JATCO to Mexico in first half of fiscal 2008. The firm expects the new order from Toyota for fiscal 2009 after temporally output reduction in North America. The North American operation will double the sales to 23-24 billion yen in fiscal 2010 from estimated sales in fiscal 2008.
