Consumer-Electronics Makers use Brass rod With 75 ppm. or Less of Cadmium Content
While shifting to cadmium-free brass rod by Japanese brass rod makers is promoted, there is the movement of adoption of the product with 75 parts per million or less because there is some possibility that measured figure at over 100 ppm will be shown in the product whose cadmium content is 100 ppm or less depending on measuring equipment and method in the background that Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), which will be put in execution next July, prohibits distribution of the product with over 100 ppm of cadmium content. Some of the Japanese consumer-electronics makers, who have used the products with 100 ppm or less of it, adopt the product with 75 ppm or less.
