SHOWA DENKO Mass-produces HD for Vertical Magnetic Recording Method
SHOWA DENKO K.K. announced on Tuesday that it mass-produced the hard disc of 1.89/0.85-inch minor diameter by vertical magnetic recording method for the first time in the world. The firm is planning to increase the monthly hard disc production capacity by 3.05 million units to 13.75 million units by the end of March 2006, and the firm will newly establish all the production lines for vertical magnetic recording method.
