Showa Denko to Cancel Joint Venture for Ferrochrome Business in South Africa
Showa Denko announced that the firm transferred the ownership stocks (investment ratio at 20.7%) of Midolbarg Techno Chrome, the low carbon ferrochrome supplier, (MTC) that was the joint venture company of Samancor Ltd. in Republic of South Africa and Marubeni Corporation to Samancorl Co. dated March 31 on the 18th and canceled joint management. Showa Denko will stop the manufacturing sales of the low carbon ferrochrome product, and withdraws from the ferroalloy business that is a part of the inorganic material business.
