2 Can Makers Integrate Aluminium Can Business
Mitsubishi Mmaterials and Hokkai Can, both major can maker, announced on Wednesday that both company agreed to integrate the aluminum can businesses for the beverage. They separate each aluminum can business on October 1 this year, and establish an integrated new company of Mitsubishi Material 80% and Hokkai Can 20% investments. The new company becomes to have about 27% of the share and sales about 67 billion yen per year, and becomes a top class in the aluminum can container industry in Japan.
