Mercury Market Likely to be 60,000-yen-mark After 16 years
The mercury market has been in the rising trend because stopped production of the major smelting manufacturers is prolonged while mercury demand for vinyl chloride in China and India increases and because supply and demand is tight according some reliable sources. The quotation on overseas markets is the highest 600-700 dollars in the United States and Europe in the past per flask (About 34.5 kilograms). The domestic market is likely to become 60,000-yen-mark that becomes high-priced after 16 years domestically.
