Copper Ore Price Decreases More
Copper ore suppliers reduce ore price more. Minders have sufficient ore after they increased output under firm international copper price while smelters expand output capacity at lower pace than ore suppliers. Spot ore market price reached to US$ 150 per tonne for treatment charge and US$ 0.15 per pound from US$ 140 for TC and US$ 0.14 for RC at the end of 2004. Some expect the prices could reach US$ 200 for TC and US$ 0.2 for RC. With high prices of copper and gold, which copper ore contains, miners could keep increasing the output. Oversupply of copper ore has uncertainty.
