Kobelco Material Pipe Consolidates 2 Domestic Factories Into One
Kobelco Material Pipe that is joint venture of Kobe Steel and Mitsubishi Material clarified a midterm basic policy. According to the firm, it will consolidate two domestic factories in the Kanoto area around Tokyo, eastern Japan, in Hadano, Saitama Prefecture, and Kitamoto, Kanagawa Prefecture, into the Hadano factory, and it aims at the availability improvement and securing domestic competitive edge. Moreover, the firm improves the production capacity of a Thai factory along with this, and aims at corresponding to the overseas market that grows up. It is an aim of suppressing the load of the fixed cost by consolidating a domestic base.
