Chip On Film Market to Become Active
The market of COF (Chip On Film) that is implementation material of integrated circuit (IC) for liquid crystal drive is active; shift to COF, which makes fine pitch of circuit more possible, than Tape Automated Bonding is well promoted under the situation that there appears high quality of electronic machinery and high fineness of liquid crystal screen. Currently, due to sharp expansion of demand of COF, its raw materials' supply is not enough. So COF material makers such as Sumitomo Metal Mining revised the plans of the production upward.
