Supply and demand of copper, lead, zinc and nickel reduce in 2005
International Copper Study Group says that though it is expected that copper supply of 2004 in the world run short of 701,000 tonnes, it will decreases to 220,000 tonnes in 2005. And as 168,000 tonnes of them is on the ground of supply obstacle, supply and demand of 2005 will almost balance. And International Lead and Zinc Study Group says that supply shortage of lead will be 195,000 tonnes of this year, 76,000 tonnes of 2005, and zinc will be 169,000 tonnes, 118,000 tonnes.
Moreover, International Nickel Study Group says that shortage range of nickel will decrease 40,000 tonnes of last year to 8,000 tonnes of this year, and it will become saturated at 2,000 tonnes.
But according to supply and demand cycle, each supply and demand seems to reduce in 2006. Nowtherefore, market will enter a decline phase in second half of 2005, but decline range is expected to decrease compare with backward because of active demand in China.
