Sales of antimony in Nihon Mining & Concentrating to stand at a record high
Sales volume of antimony in Nihon Mining & Concentrating is expected to stand at a record high because demand of antimony trioxide increase due to active electrical and electronic equipment and automobile industry. Sales volume of 2004 is likely to exceed 7,000 tonnes at total of all products thanks to takeover of antimony business in Sumitomo Metal Mining last July. It will exceed by some 1,100 tonnes the most sales volume, 5,900 tonnes sold in last year.Sales volume of antimony products in the firm keeps active for Japan and oversea. It in April-June increase by 52% for a year earlier, and it seems to reach 3,600-3,700 tonnes in April-September. It will exceed 7,000 tonnes in fiscal 2004.
For the present, sales keep an increase of 200 tonnes per month from the previous year. The increase of sales volume by expansion of the market is 100 tonnes and the increase by the takeover of business is 100 tonnes.
Kind of products have increased because of introduce of hydrometallurgy equipment on the ground of the takeover of business. It also has a positive effect on rise of sales volume.
