Japan Rolled Aluminium Output Increases by 3.2% in First Half
Japan Aluminium Association announced on Wednesday Japanese aluminium rolled and foil products output increased by 3.2% to 1.214 million tonnes in January-June from same period last year. The shipment increased by 3.3% to 1.223 million tonnes. Those first half figures increased for 2 consecutive years. Flat products hit the record output and shipment under firm demand.
Flat products output increased by 2.4% to 703,183 tonnes in the period compared with same period of last year. The shipment increased by 2.6% to 713,484 tonnes. Those figures increased for 2 years in a row thanks to firm demand for automobile, printing plate, semiconductor and vessels for liquefied natural gas.
