Solder Coat Introduces New Continuous Caster
Solder Coat introduced new continuous caster for tin-zinc alloyed lead free solder.
The Japanese major solder maker starts the operation in the month. The equipment is to produce small billet used to make solder wire and foil for electronic parts. The firm said it is first equipment special for tin-zinc alloys. The firm tries to meet increasing and diversifying demand for lead free solder.
The firm established no.5 plant special for lead free solder at headquarters in Nagoya in February starting operation in April. The plant with lines for solder bar and solder ball has around 300 tonnes of monthly output capacity.
The firm developed the new continuous caster with around 50 tonnes of monthly capacity. The firm expects the caster could produce other products than tin-zinc alloy.
