Mitsubishi Aluminum Focuses on Profitability
President Akikuni Nozoe of Mitsubishi Aluminum said he would focus on strengthening financial position in fiscal 2004 ending March 2005 to secure profit after the firm cleared cumulative loss in fiscal 2003, at his first press conference on Wednesday. He tries to realize higher rolling margin for aluminium rolling products at current negotiation to cover increasing raw materials prices.
The firm tries to strengthen extrusion business for automotive heat exchanger in China to expand its core business.
Mr. Nozoe said the firm with smaller market share might have to seek potential partnership to improve competitiveness in longer term. He tires to realize target o resumption of dividend under new mid-term business plan along with initial public offering in longer term.
