Dowa Mining to Expand LED up to 60 million units
Dowa Mining will expand production capacity of light emitting diode using gallium arsenic substrate up to 60 million units per month. The firm tries to meet increasing demand for infrared LED of cell phone with function of infrared communication and for LED of sensor and to narrow electric current. The firm is expanding monthly capacity to 50 million units from current 40 million at existing plant, eyeing another expansion to 60 million.
