Mitsubishi Electric Metecs to Operate New Slitter in Guangzhou
Mitsubishi Electric Metecs starts to operate new copper products slitter in Guangzhou in the end of August. The firm set a slitter with 150 tonnes of monthly processing capacity in the plant of its agent, Denkishizai's joint venture. Mitsubishi Elctric Metecs will provide processed copper products including phosphor bronze and copper nickel zinc alloys for local Japanese operations including connector makers. The firm targets more than 100 tonnes per month of processing and sales in 6 months, representing around 10% of total demand in south China area.
The firm is major maker of phosphor bronze and copper nickel zinc alloys in Mitsubishi Electric Corporation group. The firm puts the new slitter operation in the plant, which is joint venture owned by Denkisizai, Mitsui & Co. and Chinese firm to process and sell materials including electrical steel.
Denkishizai's Hong Kong operation will deal transactions including order and shipping for the slitter operation. Mitsubishi Electric Metecs will provide mother materials along with technical support and quality certification.
