ATA's Exports Account For 50% of the Output Mainly for China
Thomas. L. Walpole, Executive Vice President of ATA, said the exports of the firm's business account for 50% of the production which is mainly for China, first of all, secondly for East Asia, thirdly for US, fourth Australia, and fifth Japan: He was interviewed by Sangyo Press.

He said that Japan is an important market for the firm. The firm is going to sell the can materials for drink and the general materials for industries to Japan, and it will settle the liaison office in Tokyo and send the salesperson there for the Japanese market to build up the conditions of the sales.

He acknowledges that China is the most growing market in aluminum for the long term. China is the biggest aluminum market in Asia and very important target for the firm.

He said that the firm aims at becoming the No. 1 rolled maker in Asia. The firm integrated its two plants into one, and it is going to get the power from the new plant. He thinks that what is important in business is quality and service, and the firm must establish cooperative relations with the consumer. It needs to respond to the consumers' needs such as spec, thickness, figure, and so on.
