Sankyo Aluminium succeeds to form magnesium alloy thin extrusion
plate

Sankyo Aluminium Industry, based in Toyama prefecture, succeeded to
form magnesium alloy extrusion plate of "width of 300 mm, thickness of

chassis of household electrical goods, which depended on die-cast and
injection molding.

Sankyo Aluminium developed the technique of magnesium alloy thin
extrusion plate in December 2001. By the technique, it is possible to
produce thin plates by one process, differ from rolling, and it can
reduce the cost. In addition, the quality such as machining performance
is appreciated, and it was produced as chassis for MD (magnetic disk),
