Japan Stainless Makers to Reduce Output More
Japanese stainless steel makers will reduce output more. Nisshin Steel said on Thursday it will reject all order from distributors for stainless cold rolled flat steel, mainly for 300 series stainless for July order. JFE Steel announced on the day it will reduce output of 400 series stainless by 30% for export in July-September from April-June. They will reduce supply considerably in a short period of time though their targets are different in the grades and customers. They try to accelerate the overstock adjustment at home and abroad by keeping price at the cost of the volume.
