Japan Special Steel Demand to Increase by 4.9% in July-Sep
Japanese special steel demand for hot rolling products increases by 4.9% to 1.707 million tonnes per month in July-September from same period of last year, according to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The number increases by 2.9% from April-June. The domestic demand increases by 0.7% from April-June when carmakers increase finished vehicle output toward midterm closing at end of September and industrial machinery and construction activity increase. The export demand increases when high tensile steel export increases by 22% from low level in April-June though the stainless export decreases under dropping market price in Asia.
