President of Shanghai Baosteel Group to Expand Crude Steel to 30 Million Tonnes in 2006
The president of Shanghai Baosteel Group clarified the prospect that the group's crude steel production in 2005 will reach at 23 million tonnes up 1.5 million tonnes from the previous year according to the interview by Japan Metal Bulletin on Tuesday.
The group expands the crude steel production scale of the existing works to 30 million tonnes per year at the coming 5-year plan from 2006. The Group emphatically extends the products that have the high added value such as the steel sheets for cars and the steel plates for shipbuilding. She is put in view to expand the group's c to 50 million tonnes per year by achievement of the new ironworks construction plan in South China and Brazil keeping an eye on the demand trends and the policies of the Chinese Government.
