Ferrous Scrap Export Price increases to 25,000 yen per Tonne for F.A.S.
The ferrous scrap export price in the Tokyo area, Eastern Japan, increased by 700 yen per tonne from the previous month to 25,000-yen-mark per tpnne for F.A.S. The winner price at export bid being held by Kanto Tetsugen Kyodokumiai in May 13 2005 increased by 722 yen per tonne or about 3% to 25,033 yen per tonne for F.A.S. for this May shipments of the H2 scrap. The successful amount of the tender was 15,000 tonnes because of increase of inquiries by South Korean steel makers. However, There is some possibility that the export price will hit the ceiling since the scrap stocks in each Asian country is abundant.
