CSC Starts Operation No.2 CGL in November, 2006
It is expected that China Steel Corporation start the operation the new continuous hot dip galvanizing line, No.2 CGL, that has the production ability at 300,000 tonnes per year in November 2006 under the construction in Takao Iron Works. It is purpose that the introduction of this line especially corresponds to correspond to high-grade steel sheets, especially to the expansion of the hot dip galvanized alloy steel sheets (GA) demand. The amount of money of the investment is about 6.5 billion Taiwan dollar (about 22 billion yen). The firm immediately aims at the production of 240,000 tonnes per year twice compared with the current state about GA.
