Daido Steel to Rise Production Capacity of Special Steel by 5%
Daido Steel, biggest special steel maker, plans to increase special steel output capacity by 5% in each fiscal 2005 and 2006 from the previous fiscal year. The firm increased its capacity up by 5% in fiscal 2004, what it rise by 5% become for 3 consecutive years in a row. The firm will respond to expansion of automobile related industry which is main destination of special steel. Though in fiscal 2004, the firm increased the production capacity by method such as increased production efficiency by improvement of kinds, in fiscal 2005 and 2006, the firm's equipment capability will be strengthened by method such as investment for equipment. Chita mill is already invested to increase continuous-casting, blooming and purifing.
