Mitsui to establish a coil center with Chinese automobile and car firms in China
Mitsui & Co., Ltd. signed a final agreement with China Faw Group and Anshan Iron and steel Group to establish a joint venture coil center for automobile steel sheet in ZhangChun City, JiLin Province. It is capitalized with 92 million yuan. Mitsui & Co., Ltd. hold 25% of shares, China Faw Group is 25%, Anshan Iron and steel Group is 50%. They will invest 150 million yuan and prepare for processing and distributing of annual 200,000 tonnes capacity, and plan to start operating from April 2006. Thus, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. will construct business connection with Chinese 3 biggest iron and steel firms as Bao Steel Group, Anshan Iron and steel Group, Wuhan Iron & Steel and 3 automobile firms as China Faw Group, Shanghai Automotive, Dongfeng Automobile Company.
