Kobe Steel Launches Steel Product Database
Kobe Steel announced on Wednesday it started steel information sharing system for the first time in the steel industry. The firm established integrated database system, which is to share information between production and sales units in steel sector, and web based process computer, which is to share information between production sites and production control division in the production units. With the system, all members of steel sector can share all data and the firm can provide more timely information for the users and make more profitable production plan. The firm will renew all application programs based on the new system in 5 years for more than 10 billion yen.
