NSSC Increases Stainless Steel Sheet Price by 5,000 yen
Nippon Steel and Sumikin Stainless Steel Corporation, Japan major stainless steel maker, announced on Thursday it would decrease 300 series stainless steel sheet price for Japanese distributors in January contract. Steel sheet and plate will be reduced by 5,000 yen per tonne. The price will decrease due to the alloy link system, as nickel price drops and strong yen progresses. Steel sheet is reduced in the past 3 months, and plate is first since introduction of the alloy link system.
